Bizarre Photos: UK Edition
While traveling through the UK, I couldn’t resist taking photos of some of the strange things I came across.
Here are some of my favorites:
…he has an album? (in Shepherds Bush, London)
A vending machine that sells nothing but Red Bull — I think I’m in love! (in Liverpool)
At 15 feet tall, these were a bit creepier than intended. (in Chester)
This Will & Kate, however, I happen to love. (in Shoreditch, London)
Not to be outdone, you can knit your own Royal Wedding! (in York)
If you’ve been to Thailand, you know the Frog Ladies. Well, they sell those same frogs in London, too! (in Camden, London)
Giggity. (in Regents Park, London)
HELL YEAH, HUMPS FOR 1/2 MILE! (in Notting Hill, London)
And my favorite — this one. (on the way from Liverpool to Chester)
Just a few weeks until I return to the UK — I’m sure there will be plenty more!

Enjoy the humor of the British, but hate the dreary weather? Book some cheap flights to Malaga and enjoy the very British atmosphere — but with sunshine!

At age 26, I quit my job to travel the world alone. I spent six fantastic months in Southeast Asia and turned my travel blog into a full-time business. Today, I travel full-time, going anywhere that sounds wacky or beautiful or interesting. My goal is to show YOU how you can travel the world on your own -- easily, safely, and adventurously.

Wow, the Royal wedding memorabilia is too funny. And those life size (or rather, larger-than-life size) statues are indeed creepy.
Hahaha, I live for stuff like this. Love it! (The “knit your own royal family” is my favorite, I think… haha.)
Somehow, I didn’t feel you were the kind of girl who actually NEEDS Redbull for anything!
How do you think I get through my Vegas trips?
Hahahahaha I loved this post. So amusing to see your own country through a visitors eyes but I have to agree with you about the bizareness of a lot of those things – especially the creepy Wills and Kate in Chester!!
Too funny, great post!
funny how stuff gets lost in translation. The resemblance on the knit your own royal family is remarkable.
Great photos. Did you visit Tooting Kate? An American friend of mine who visited me in London a few years ago found the name ‘Tooting’ endlessly amusing!
Hahaha, never heard of that!
I can’t wait to hear the Hugh Laurie album. Spoken word?
Believe it or not, Kris, it’s a music album!
Nice! These are funny. I love funny signs and such. When I get back to Japan, I am going to make a similar compilation.
Is that train London Midlands? Hehe. Love that Kate and William Rock version photo!
Lol I love the Rock Will and Kate! x
I think I’ve lived here too long, somehow I never realised how bizarre some of this stuff was…!
