Getting to Know Chester: A New Video!
Before my trip to Southeast Asia, I had never heard of Chester, England. Less than a year later, Chester has become my base here in Europe!
Chester is a beautiful city in the northwest of England, and I wanted to share more of it with you all — so I waited until the most beautiful day, then recorded my new video blog.
In the video, I stroll down Chester’s most photographed street, home to its famed Eastgate Clock, and talk about the city, the region, and the most difficult thing I’ve had to adjust to in England.
Enjoy!

At age 26, I quit my job to travel the world alone. I spent six fantastic months in Southeast Asia and turned my travel blog into a full-time business. Today, I travel full-time, going anywhere that sounds wacky or beautiful or interesting. My goal is to show YOU how you can travel the world on your own -- easily, safely, and adventurously.

Flagged as a suspicious visitor? What?
But seriously, Chester looks beautiful! I want to come visit!
Yeah…I need to start arriving with more documentation of when I’m leaving.
Your vlog is very clear and steady; which camera or equipment do you use?
I just use my little Canon point n shoot camera!
Love the video.. and the little clock fact at the end
Almost forgot to include that!
Hi Kate
I have stood in that street in Chester, I loved it the history and the housing is great. I love to see places through your younger (much younger) eyes. Keep up the good work. I love your blog
Aww, thank you so much, Karen!
Chester has just gone to the top of my to-be list when I get to the UK! It just looks like a fairytale
