In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, this week’s #FriFotos theme is GREEN. Digging through years of travel photos looking for a certain color was a challenge, but I think I found some good ones!
Here are my favorite green photos from around the world:
It’s hard not to feel on edge with all the primates running around at the Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali, but it’s actually quite peaceful! Just make sure they don’t get too close.
Still one of the most amazing sights I’ve ever seen — Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven, Scotland. Truly a sight to behold.
What a GREAT meal this was, on the street in Hanoi, Vietnam. I had it immediately after a 32-hour bus ride with nothing to eat but a single roll of Oreos. We were overcharged like crazy, but that food tasted SO GOOD.
A quintessentially Italian view in the truffle-rich hills of Sant’Agata Feltria, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
These Swedes in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, were so committed to their crazy Christmas costumes that they didn’t even take them off while swimming in the ocean!
The Bolaven Plateau of Laos is green in every direction — an area nearly untouched by tourism, but it won’t stay that way for long. Get there now, and on a motorbike, before the busloads of tourists arrive.
Very thin asparagus paired nicely with strawberries at Mercado San Miguel in Madrid, Spain, just a few of the culinary treasures on offer.
The surf town of Sayulita, Mexico, is filled with neon colors — including this bright green hostel! This is one place where I’d like to spend a lot more time.
And finally, taking a break from a difficult hike in the Alps in Innsbruck, Austria — made all the nicer by views like this.
